Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease/flour 9” square pan. In bowl, whisk 1 1/2 cups AP flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 tsp. BDR Gingerbread Spice, set aside. In lrg bowl, whisk 4 T. melted butter, 2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar, 2/3 cup molasses, 2/3 cup boiling water. When mix is lukewarm add 1 egg. Add dry to wet ingredients, just until there are no more lumps. Pour batter into pan, bake for 30-35 minutes until middle feels firm to touch. Set on rack to cool. Cut into squares.
